Bengaluru is one of the fastest growing cities in India with its city limits being extended everyday. The BWSSB has started an initiative to provide a good sewage system under Jn-NURM using World Bank Funds which involves connecting existing sewage connections to main lines. 2,000 kilometers of lateral UGDs and 300 kilometers of main and sub-main UGDs were to be laid in recently included areas within the city limits at an estimated cost of INR 965.69 Crore. VGN Infra bagged this project, at an estimated cost of INR 30.4 Crore to lay 110 kms of pipelines, to be completed in March 2012. With this project, VGN has entered into Karnataka.
